*****NEW YORK STATE CHANGES IN EDUCATION LAW FOR LCSW’S AND LMSW’S*****

Dear Alumni,

I hope this note finds you well and enjoying 2016! I seem to say the same thing year after year… “Where does the time go?” It feels like yesterday we graced the beautiful Mt. Vernon home of FIW and here we are 36 years later still standing… in White Plains. Different facility…. same commitment!

As many of you know, effective January 1, 2015 New York Sate Education Law requires each licensed master social worker (LMSW) and licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to complete 36 hours of acceptable formal continuing education during each three-year registration period. You can go to www.op.nysed.gov/prof/sw/swcefaq.htm for a complete overview of this new requirement.

FIW is offering many exciting workshops that will each provide CEU units.

If you are interested in any of our workshops, please call Anna at (914)-777-3909 or visit us www.FIWNY.org – Continue to check the website for future workshops.

We look forward to seeing you.

Best,

Pat
