BARBARA GEWIRTZ
Barbara Gewirtz, C.S.W., B.C.D. is an Adjunct Professor of Social Work at New
York University and Fordham University Graduate School of Social Work. Ms
Gewirtz is also a faculty member of the Center for Family Learning. In
addition to her teaching, Ms Gewirtz has a private practice. She has lead
numerous community and professional workshops and seminars on a variety of
topics including marital and couple issues. Ms Gewirtz is a consultant to
Scarsdale High School's International Mentor Program and has been a
frequent guest lecturer at the Scarsdale Teachers Institute where she
teaches teachers about both family issues and multicultural issues. She was
formerly the Director of Tokyo Community Counseling Service. Ms Gewirtz
also is the host/producer of "Family Focus", a local Westchester cable show.
