Ruth Rosen Cohen Ruth Rosen Cohen, LCSW is in private practice in Westchester County and Manhattan. She particularly enjoys her work with couples. Ms. Cohen has been an adjunct faculty member at Columbia University School of Social Work and Smith College School of Social Work and a lecturer at New York University’s School of Social Work. She retired as Director of Social Work at the Jewish Child Care Association after 24 years in child welfare practice. As an invited presenter, trainer and consultant throughout New York State, Ms. Cohen has focused on topics including: family systems, issues in marriage and couples treatment, the Sanctuary model of trauma treatment, family-centered and strengths-based agency practice, and shifting an agency paradigm. Ms. Cohen has published articles and was part of a consulting team reviewing services to children and families in collaboration with the Israeli government. She received an MSW from Boston University and completed postgraduate training at the Family Institute of Westchester, where she is currently the Director of Training. |
