Money is a taboo subject of conversation in our culture, avoided by both client and therapist. Many therapists, counselors, and psychologists struggle with setting fees in their private practice. Quite simply, they've never been shown how to set and discuss fees with clients. It is common for therapists to “charge less than they’re worth” as well as ask other clinicians “what they think they’re worth!”
This workshop will explore the taboo topic of money and how it plays out with therapists in setting fees with their clients. A model for “setting your fee before the first session” will be discussed.
